This is a highly collaborative engineering role within a team environment where engineers maintain ownership over projects from concept through implementation. The right person will enjoy mechanical design work and a willingness to help with production support, troubleshooting equipment (as needed), and cross-functional project coordination within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key things to note:

Engineering, Production, and Maintenance Responsibilities:

Design and redesign proprietary automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment from concept through implementation Develop mechanical designs, layouts, tooling, and process improvements to support production and operational goals Support equipment build, installation, testing, and startup activities Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and vendors to support equipment functionality and continuous improvement efforts Provide hands-on support during equipment troubleshooting, installations, rebuilds, and production issues as needed Develop process documentation, work instructions, and operator training materials Evaluate existing equipment and manufacturing processes to identify productivity and quality improvement opportunities Support research, testing, and product design evaluation activities as needed Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status updates to leadership Participate in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives within the manufacturing environment Targeted candidate will bring 3+ years of engineering experience within an automated manufacturing, equipment design, or industrial engineering environment.

Other priorities include:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline Experience designing or supporting automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms Strong mechanical design and troubleshooting capabilities Comfortable owning projects from initial concept through implementation and startup Hands-on mindset with willingness to support production floor activities as needed Ability to thrive within a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment Exposure to automation systems, pneumatics, sensors, or PLC-controlled equipment preferred Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills Prior experience within high-volume or automated manufacturing environments strongly preferred Training and onboarding will be provided, but success in this role requires someone who is adaptable, solutions-oriented, technically curious, and excited to work within a collaborative manufacturing environment where engineers wear multiple hats and maintain strong ownership over their work.

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
