Senior Mechanical Engineer Location:

$115,000 - $130,000 Schedule:
Full-time | First shift (flexible 9-5) About the Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting innovative product development initiatives. This is a high-impact role where you will lead mechanical design efforts from concept through manufacturing, while mentoring junior engineers and influencing engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through production Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks Perform and interpret FEA and FMEA/DFMEA
to improve design robustness Design for injection molded plastics, sheet metal, and electro-mechanical packaging Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and ECOs Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and document control teams Develop and execute testing and validation plans to ensure product performance, safety, and reliability Review manufacturing processes to ensure proper fabrication, assembly, and installation Identify design improvements and optimization opportunities for existing products Research new technologies and recommend process or tool improvements Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on projects Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of mechanical design experience Proficiency in SolidWorks (design and analysis) Strong experience with: Injection molded plastics Sheet metal design GD&T Electro-mechanical packaging Experience with FEA and DFMEA methodologies Background in high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes Preferred Qualifications Experience with PCB layout and electronics packaging Knowledge of product lifecycle and new product development Familiarity with design validation and regulatory testing Experience designing consumer products or electro-mechanical devices Strong technical documentation and reporting skills What Sets You Apart Self-starter who takes ownership of learning and development Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset Ability to manage projects and communicate across teams Passion for continuous improvement and innovation Work Environment & Benefits Collaborative, forward-thinking environment with a "modern tech culture" feel Strong career growth and advancement opportunities All engineering teams located onsite for close collaboration Flexible schedule with standard first-shift hours Onsite cafeteria and strong overall benefits package Why Join Us?
