Scope of developmental opportunities:
Technical writing of process work instructionsCreate as-built drawingSupport DCR'sProficient with Solidworks drawings and operation, also proficient in Draft sight (DWGs)Process development and improvementStandardization and documentation of existing fixturesImprove existing fixtures and toolingDesign new fixtures and toolingAdhere to all company policies and safety regulationsLearn and understand the battery manufacturing processEducation / Training / Skills /
SolidWorks experience preferred, or ability to learnProficient in Word, Excel and PowerPointGood communication skillsUnderstand engineering drawings and principlesAbility to manage a varied workload in an efficient mannerGood analytical skillsWork well as part of a teamAbility to manage and prioritize tasksHard working, team player, hands on person, ready to spend time on the manufacturing floor.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Ability to alternate sitting and standing for 8 hours per day.
Ability to visually inspect product for quality and distinguish small detail.

Job Summary:
With guidance of the New Product Development Engineering group, the co-op role will take on a variety of independent and team projects to support and improve the manufacturing processes of our products. These projects will span across all NPD and Manufacturing departments and will focus on increasing overall productivity. Interaction will be necessary with all levels of NPD personnel and management. This position will requires both a team player and the skills and self-discipline to work independently.Scope of developmental opportunities:

Experience:
Must be pursuing an Engineering Degree with at least three years of classroom work completed.SolidWorks experience preferred, or ability to learnProficient in Word, Excel and PowerPointGood communication skillsUnderstand engineering drawings and principlesAbility to manage a varied workload in an efficient mannerGood analytical skillsWork well as part of a teamAbility to manage and prioritize tasksHard working, team player, hands on person, ready to spend time on the manufacturing floor.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to use hands for repetitive action such as pushing, pulling and grasping small parts.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
