Job Description
Project Engineer $100,000-$130,000 + 401(k) + ESOP + full benefits + mileage reimbursement + PTO + technical training & progression Sleepy Hollow, NY (Open to candidates across NYC & Westchester County) Are you a Project Engineer with HVAC, mechanical systems or building-services experience looking for the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work directly with senior leadership and build a long-term career within the clean-energy sector? On offer is the opportunity to work on a growing portfolio of clean-energy projects, develop your technical and commercial skillset, gain direct exposure to clients and manufacturers, and progress into senior positions as the business continues to expand. This is a rapidly growing clean-energy start-up backed by several established sister companies under one parent organisation. With 70 projects already lined up, you'll be joining at a pivotal stage of growth, where you'll have genuine visibility, responsibility and the opportunity to help shape the company's future. You will play a key role in developing proposals, coordinating with manufacturers and internal teams, maintaining project records and translating technical information into practical recommendations for clients, utilities and other stakeholders. You'll also have the opportunity to develop new processes, tools and technical resources that improve project delivery and consistency. With direct support from senior leadership and ongoing training, you'll have the autonomy to develop alongside the business. This role would suit a Project Engineer with HVAC, boiler, heat pump or building mechanical systems experience who wants greater responsibility, technical variety and the opportunity to grow with an exciting clean-energy start-up. The Role Manage and maintain project records, proposals, opportunities and CRM information across a growing clean-energy project portfolio Coordinate with internal teams and major HVAC/boiler manufacturers to develop accurate proposals, quotations and technical solutions Translate technical findings into clear recommendations for clients, utilities, public agencies and industry stakeholders Develop and improve technical tools, templates, frameworks and resources, while receiving ongoing mentorship and training with the opportunity to progress into senior roles The Candidate Strong working knowledge of HVAC/boiler manufacturers and product lines Experience with boilers, heat pumps and/or building mechanical systems, with the ability to interpret mechanical specifications and drawings Strong communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, sales, manufacturers and clients Willingness to travel throughout the New York region for site visits and stakeholder meetings; EIT preferred but not essential.
