Electrical Equipment Engineer Linde - 3.6 Tonawanda, NY Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $90,000 a year 22 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications CAD software Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering Bachelor of Science Load flow analysis Engineering Electrical system design Electrical switchgear Mid-level Engineer in Training Bidding project phase Electrical motors Electrical building codes Electrical transformers Productivity software Commissioning phase involvement Electrical Engineering Cross-functional collaboration Full Job Description Linde Engineering North America LLC Electrical Equipment Engineer Tonawanda, NY, United States | req28744 What you will enjoy doing• In this role, you will be the lead Electrical Equipment Engineer, responsible for designing electrical systems for modularized Oxygen and Nitrogen plants in the USA You will be working with a range of power system technologies including: metal-clad switchgear, 5kV motors, 5kV fused contactors, transformers, and 480V motor control centers You will be responsible for calculations and studies for electrical power systems using SKM including: load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit studies, relay coordination, and arc flash studies You will also develop protective relay settings and logic based on the study results above In addition, you will perform vendor drawing reviews, ensuring compliance with the engineering specification and design requirements Furthermore, you will perform technical bid evaluations on all major sources of equipment You will be working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will partner with teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, gaining full project lifecycle exposure from design through startup Willingness to travel nominally 10%, with occasional travel up to 25% to perform skid checkout and plant electrical system commissioning What makes you great You have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred, and interest in working towards Professional Engineering (PE) licensing Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC), and IEEE standards Comfortable using common engineering tools such as Microsoft Office, and other discipline specific software Exposure to SKM, SEL, and/or AutoCAD is a plus Knowledge of electrical construction methodologies and processes, construction packages, commissioning and energization of electrical systems Why you will love working with us Linde Engineering Americas (LEA) is a member of the Linde Engineering Division of Linde plc.
