Recommend tooling solutions, tool designs, and process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations. Evaluate cutting tools, tool geometries, machining parameters, and application requirements. Troubleshoot tooling performance, tool life, quality, and process issues and recommend corrective actions. Lead testing and validation of new tooling technologies and applications. Work directly with tooling suppliers to evaluate, test, and validate new tools and solutions. Analyze tool life, productivity, quality, and cost data to identify improvement opportunities. Support process optimization initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving tool life. Ensure tooling recommendations are technically sound, practical, and aligned with customer requirements. Identify opportunities to improve tooling performance, machining processes, quality, and cost. Track and communicate project results and measurable improvements. Stay current with industry trends, cutting-tool technologies, materials, coatings, and emerging manufacturing processes. Introduce and evaluate new technologies that may provide a competitive or operational advantage. Develop and implement standardized tooling practices and best practices across supported operations. Assist in developing technical documentation, work instructions, reports, and training materials.
Qualifications:
