Job Description

Mechanical Engineer role focused on industrial machine design, aluminum extrusion equipment, mechanical failure analysis, manufacturing support, and equipment deployment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline 15+ years of experience in industrial machine or equipment development 3+ years of experience designing or building aluminum extrusion presses and related handling equipment Experience creating 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD Experience using advanced 3D modeling tools Experience applying Finite Element Analysis software for structural and stress evaluation Experience with hydraulics for new equipment design and existing system repair Working knowledge of industrial electrical architecture and operational components Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15% Preferred Skills Experience restoring or improving legacy industrial equipment Experience supporting aluminum extrusion hardware deployment Experience diagnosing mechanical hardware failures with field service teams Experience supporting equipment installation inside customer facilities Responsibilities Design industrial handling hardware using 3D modeling tools Analyze legacy equipment for restoration, functionality improvements, and product upgrades Diagnose and resolve mechanical hardware failures Support logistical transfer, site setup, and operational synchronization of industrial assets Organize shop floor sequences to support machinists and assemblers Plan and execute deployment of updated extrusion hardware Serve as lead technical authority for engineering activities Coordinate internal and external engineering work Manage delivery milestones against customer requirements and production capabilities Support mechanical design, repair, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities
Pay:
