Job Description

A prominent engineering consulting firm is on the lookout for an experienced professional to advance our mechanical division. The role is centered on overseeing the design, coordination, and execution of large-scale utility projects within industrial, healthcare, academic, and district energy settings. The ideal hire will offer technical direction, manage projects efficiently, and lend expertise across various teams. Your role will be crucial in steering projects from initial planning to successful completion, involving stakeholders at each step.
  • Main Duties:
  • Develop and oversee engineering documents, perform calculations, and draft equipment specifications aligned with project targets and standards.
Conduct in-depth technical assessments and choose appropriate utility systems and components. Lead the procurement process for equipment required in utility and energy domains. Oversee project parameters including scope, timing, financials, and resource distribution. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery. Offer mentorship to burgeoning engineers and technical personnel. Contribute to the preparation of strategic campus utility frameworks and technical documentation. Engage in industry forums, client meetings, and professional gatherings to build strong client relationships.
  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Holder of a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
Possess or actively pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) license. 10+ years in mechanical engineering roles, with robust project management capabilities. Proven track record in utility generation and distribution designs. Effective in report writing, presentation, and client engagement. Skilled in multitasking and maintaining focus on intricate project details. Must be able to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Desirable Experience:
  • Familiarity with infrastructure or plant operations is advantageous.
  • Working Environment:
  • Occasional on-site visits with potential hazards typical of construction areas.
