Full Job Description Summary:

The Gear Design Engineer will be responsible for designing custom gearing and enclosed gear units, performing gear geometry, gear rating, and bearing life calculations, and supporting gearbox rebuild and reverse-engineering projects. This role will work closely with customers, sales, and manufacturing to develop practical designs, dimensional layouts, drawings, and BOMs for production. Requirements BSME degree or equivalent experience, preferred and 5+ years relevant experience Experience with gear design and gear geometry Fluent in GD&T Experience with gearbox rebuilds and reverse engineering Experience performing bearing life and gear rating calculations Familiarity with hob tool design AutoCAD experience required + 3D CAD design experience (ProE/Creo preferred) Experience with automotive, aerospace, or industrial drive systems.
