In this high-impact role, you will serve as a key technical contributor bridging technology products with heavy machinery, directly defining regional needs and shaping the integration of Trimble Earthworks across North American construction environments. Key Exciting Responsibilities- Document complex mechanical systems through 3D solid models, detailed assembly layouts, and comprehensive bill of materials.
- Perform hands-on design verification, FEA simulation optimization, and mechanical qualification testing for new product introduction.
- Execute and document on-machine tests, troubleshooting complex control systems directly on various construction machines.
- Conduct machine set-ups and tear-downs for prototype evaluations, proof of concept testing, and field demonstrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional support and sales teams to define regional product needs and drive corrective action plans. Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in mechanical or civil engineering.
- Demonstrable professional engineering experience with strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software.
- Working knowledge of common communication protocols, including CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Serial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively across a global engineering network.
- Practical dexterity and fitness required to work safely in a hands-on machine testing environment.
Bonus Points For:
- Hands-on experience operating heavy construction machinery or working with hydraulic systems.
- Background in sheet metal design, cable assembly design, or basic control and position system theory.
- Current construction safety certification.
