Electro Mechanical Engineer

Actalent is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. This person will be responsible for the following: Job Description Reviews and evaluates sales order requirements\specifications to configure and\or develop solutions Works with Sales and potentially the customer to resolve requirements Works with Electrical Engineers and Drafting to produce customer drawings Acts as the technical lead on assigned projects Works with internal groups such as Assembly, Procurement and field technicians during start up to resolve issues Works with Sales and Applications Engineering Approves project release to Manufacturing Works with Assembly and Test departments to resolve issues encountered during build\test Work as part of a project team to deliver cost effective, manufacturable designs Provide updates on project status and timeline Must Have Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required 3+ years in some of the following: Designing and developing electro mechanical equipment Designing sheet metal products Experience with development, design and engineering of mechanical\electrical systems using both 2Dand 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) Experience with OEM design activities Experience with bill of materials (BOMs) Experience with casting, compressors, pumps and/or motors Project management experience Nice to Have Electrical testing experience Knowledge in noise attenuation (fan silencers) Customer interfacing experience Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience Understanding of seismic, wind and vibration calculations Work Environment Recently opened a new office near the manufacturing facility. They will be working on a team with a dozen engineers. 90% of their day will be spent at a desk. 10% will be on the floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Independence, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr.
