Job Purpose The position is to function as a senior robotics advisor in partnership with the Group Lead; supporting a team dedicated to the development and integration of equipment into Honda facilities for both business plan and new model projects. They are responsible for understanding the key technical challenges for new applications, and then supporting/guiding other project team members with concept development through implementation. This associate is also tasked with supporting ED-Robotics team members to overcome challenges that would prevent the achievement of project target criteria. In addition, they are tasked with supporting the total Unit/Team through associate mentorship and helping improve our internal team as well as cross-functional department improvement activities and E/ER theme participation or leadership. Key Accountabilities Advise, guide, and mentor other team members on technical matters, project management and execution for lower-level associates. Performs quality check function for robotic deliverables. Direct support to ED-Robotics lower-level planners who are responsible for driving forward individual New Model or Business Plan projects as the designated ED-Robotics PIC. This includes support of concept development, early cost and schedule creation, and monitoring of total project deliverables. Engage in project leadership role or support of new technology/E/ER theme activity. Support or lead the evolution of robotic design standards, methods, and processes. Roll up of team KPIs related to QIP processes. Support/Lead/Direct unit or group initiatives and business plan goals. Function as the lead technical inspection and shipping evaluator for pre-SEV reviews. Lead or support recurrence prevention activities within the team or unit. Support the role up of team annual expense budgets, and overall BP theme role out.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications:
4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Technology Engineering or 2-year related technical degree (or equivalent) with 4 years additional experience.Minimum Experience:
8+ years of relevant experience, ideally integrating industrial robotic systems.Other Job-Specific Skills:
Working knowledge of industrial machinery and functional safety standards. Background in automated equipment development Extensive category specific technical knowledge (ex.WE, AF, PA, PU
) Excellent technical communication skills (both written and oral) Working Conditions 75% Office environment- support of the creation of engineering deliverables toward automation solutions. 15% Offline Manufacturing floor

- system-up support / verification at any Honda facility Must be willing to travel locally, regional, and internationally as required on a project basis (to Honda facilities or external equipment vendors).
