Mechanical Quality Engineer - Automotive IndustryDrive Quality. Solve Complex Problems. Shape the Future of Automotive Engineering. Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Quality Engineer to join a leading automotive manufacturer's Market Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving, root cause analysis, vehicle testing, and working cross-functionally to improve product quality and customer satisfaction. In this role, you'll investigate real-world vehicle and component failures, analyze warranty trends, collaborate with engineering and supplier teams, and help drive corrective actions that improve future vehicle performance. If you're curious, analytical, and passionate about understanding how things work, this is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in automotive engineering and quality. What You'll Be Doing
+ Investigate failed warranty parts and vehicle concerns through testing, analysis, and hands-on evaluation
+ Recreate and simulate failure conditions to identify root causes and contributing factors
+ Analyze quality concerns related to design, manufacturing, supplier performance, and service operations
+ Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering and quality leadership
+ Collaborate with suppliers, design engineers, manufacturing teams, and service organizations to implement corrective actions
+ Support containment activities and long-term quality improvements
+ Utilize warranty data and technical analysis to support cost recovery efforts What We're Looking For
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field + 0-6 years of engineering experience
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to investigate technical issues and determine root cause from testing and data analysis
+ Interest in automotive systems, vehicle quality, and engineering problem solving Preferred Background
+ Automotive industry experience
+ Transmission systems knowledge
+ Automotive repair, maintenance, assembly, or manufacturing experience

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Marysville, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
