Job Description
Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a global automotive manufacturer in NW Ohio. The Tooling Engineer (Program Manager) is responsible for new, current, and take-over Program Launch Management. Responsible to manage tooling(stamping dies) programs through direct management of all phases of launches from acquisition through PPAP and project maintenance. Assist customers with design feasibilities to facilitate manufacturing and optimize material usage. Champion the development of quotations for piece cost and stamping tooling by providing process layouts, blank developments, timing and quoting instruction to all participating die vendors quoting the components. Establish and follow-up on full program implementation (i.e. timing, PFMEA concept, manufacturing feasibility, process, binder developments, simulation, prototype, die design, pattern build, hard tool build, engineering changes, stamping tooling try-out, assembly verification, buy-off at die shop, home line try-out, PSO, PPAP and program launch. Administer Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), per customer and ISO standards. Experience/Education Engineering Degree, Journeyman Tool and Die Maker, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Experience tracking outside tooling(stamping dies).
