CATIA V6

modeling capabilities, a solid understanding of automotive component design, and experience developing robust, manufacturable engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop automotive chassis components and related systems, including suspension and steering components, subframes, engine mounts, wheels, brakes, and fuel and exhaust systems.

Develop robust 3D CAD models using CATIA V6, maintaining design intent and following established modeling practices.

Create, review, and interpret 2D engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) practices to ensure functional, reliable, and production-ready designs.

Collaborate with design engineers, test engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues.

Evaluate technical proposals, assess design alternatives, and communicate engineering recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Interpret basic Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) analysis results, including stiffness and natural-frequency assessments, to support design decisions.

Support component development, design reviews, and engineering validation activities throughout the product development cycle.

Manage multiple engineering assignments concurrently while meeting project milestones, quality expectations, and established development schedules.

Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and presentations to communicate design decisions, research findings, and test results. Required Qualifications

5+ years of relevant engineering design and development experience.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience in automotive component design and development.

Proficiency in CATIA V6, including strong 3D solid modeling capabilities.

Understanding of design intent, robust CAD modeling techniques, and engineering design practices.

Ability to create and interpret 2D engineering drawings.

Working knowledge of GD&T principles and engineering drawing standards.

Strong understanding of design for manufacturability and practical manufacturing considerations.

Ability to independently investigate technical problems, evaluate solutions, and make sound engineering recommendations. Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience designing and developing automotive chassis components.

Experience with

CATIA V6

surface modeling.

Familiarity with suspension and steering systems, subframes, engine mounts, wheels, brakes, fuel systems, exhaust systems, or similar automotive components.

Experience designing complex aluminum die-cast components or stamped and welded structural assemblies.

Experience creating, reviewing, or interpreting basic CAE models and analysis results.

Familiarity with automotive product development processes, design validation, and engineering change management.
