Tooling Design & Simulation Engineer Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary based on experience Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and holidays Opportunities for professional development and growth Tooling Design & Simulation Engineer Requirements & Qualifications Proven experience with MAGMA5, FLOW-3D, or equivalent 3D flow, thermal, and solidification simulation tools Strong expertise in die casting tooling design, including gating systems, runners, overflows, venting, and thermal management channels Direct experience conducting detailed Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews Ability to embed as a technical liaison onsite with OEM customers during development phases Tooling Design & Simulation Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform advanced 3D flow, thermal, and solidification simulations using leading modeling tools Engineer and optimize die casting tooling layouts and associated thermal management systems Lead DFM reviews, providing actionable design recommendations based on simulation results Analyze and troubleshoot production tooling issues, implementing robust, lasting design improvements Serve as an onsite technical liaison with OEM engineering teams, supporting early development and ensuring alignment with manufacturing needs Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all design iterations, simulation outcomes, and customer approvals
