The Warewash Business Division is seeking an ITW Engineering Intern for its Troy, Ohio location, 20 minutes north of Dayton, Ohio. About ITW Food Equipment Group The ITW Food Equipment Group has brands that are found in commercial kitchens, bakeries, delis and groceries around the world—providing commercial food equipment to cover every need, from food preparation and refrigeration to cooking and baking to dishwashing and waste disposal to weighing, labeling and wrapping. The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, schools and universities, cruise ships, and retail. The Hobart brand is a leader in the food equipment industry, and our products have been consistently voted "Best in Class" by dealers and consultants. Reporting to an engineering manager, the engineering intern will be assigned various projects. We are in search of sophomores or juniors , seeking a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering , have natural leadership skills, are energetic and self-starters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with product testing, validation, and data analysis to evaluate mechanical system performance and support engineering decisions. Create and modify CAD models, prototypes, and engineering designs to support product improvements and new product development initiatives. Conduct product evaluations, equipment teardowns, and technical research to identify design enhancements and improve functionality. Develop technical documentation, assembly instructions, and project presentations to communicate processes, findings, and recommendations. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams on assembly, troubleshooting, field support, and continuous improvement projects The minimum qualifications are: Ability to work on-site at our Troy, Ohio location five days per week Classwork toward a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering MS Office application proficiency Problem-solving skills Ability to work in an office and lab
Compensation Information:
