The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Engineer with proven expertise in hydraulic system design. In this pivotal role, you will drive the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge hydraulic equipment. From conceptualization to industrialization, you will play a hands-on role in developing custom hydraulic power units, valve actuators, and control systems. What You Will Do Innovate & Design:
Create and revise highly detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication/assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
System Engineering:
Design and develop robust hydraulic systems for power units and valve actuator controls, optimizing designs for cost and manufacturability.
Schematic Mastery:
Create, interpret, and refine complex hydraulic schematics using AutoCAD.
End-to-End Ownership:
Champion product development from initial concept and BOM creation through testing, validation, and final production release.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with sales, engineers, and shop floor technicians to ensure designs meet exact project requirements and industry standards.
Technical Support:
Provide value-added technical input throughout the project lifecycle, troubleshoot production issues, and support field installations and commissioning when necessary.
Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), test procedures, user manuals, and project reports. What You Bring to the
Team Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology. 4-7 years of relevant experience in hydraulics, mobile, or industrial equipment design. Proven experience taking hydraulic designs from concept definition through testing/validation to final production.
Technical Competencies:
High Proficiency in SolidWorks (including PDM) and AutoCAD. Deep understanding of manufacturing tolerances, exploded assembly drawings, and production workflows. Expertise in selecting hydraulic components for industrial/mobile applications.
Bonus:
Experience with electro-hydraulic assemblies, electrical interfaces for industrial systems, and knowledge of explosion-proof standards (UL, CSA, or IEC).

Environment:
Primarily a business-casual office setting with occasional exposure to the manufacturing/fabrication floor.
PPE:
When on the shop floor, company-supplied PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, optional ear protection) is required.
Physical Demands:
Regular use of hands/typing, occasional stooping or kneeling, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
