Job Description

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team and support the design of equipment in a fabrication-driven, job-shop environment. This opportunity is open to entry-level through highly experienced engineers, with responsibilities and scope tailored to experience and capability. This is an excellent opportunity to build or expand your career in a hands-on, code-driven engineering environment, working closely with manufacturing and fabrication teams.

Standard Business Hours Salary:
Minimum starting $90,000+ (DOE) Position Overview The Mechanical Design Engineer will support the design, analysis, and documentation of pressure equipment and related systems. This role offers the ability to grow into increased responsibility, technical ownership, and leadership over time. Perform or support mechanical design calculations Develop engineering drawings, layouts, and dimensional sketches Support design of equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and related systems Apply ASME Code, TEMA standards, and customer specifications Issue drawings and calculations for fabrication and client review Collaborate with internal teams and customers on technical matters Assist in resolving engineering and fabrication-related challenges Support continuous improvement and design quality initiatives Mentor or support junior engineers (for more experienced candidates) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Equivalent technical education with strong mechanical fundamentals will be considered) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in a structured, code-driven environment Effective communication skills (written and verbal) Professional, reliable, and accountable work style What We're Looking For Engineers who enjoy working close to the product and the shop floor Individuals who take ownership of their work and want to grow technically Candidates who can thrive in a fast-paced, fabrication-driven environment Work Environment Primarily office-based engineering role Regular interaction with fabrication and manufacturing teams Long-term opportunity with career growth and increasing responsibility
