Overview:
Optimize the performance of tools and equipment for semiconductor wafer production within a cleanroom environment. Proactively address technical issues employing physical model troubleshooting to minimize tool downtime and resolve root causes. Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to specifications and systematically maintain detailed documentation of work performed. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to maximize operational effectiveness. This role will be within our Thin Films Team.
Duties:
Develop basic understanding of electronic, mechanical, robotic/wafer handling, pneumatic, vacuum, chemical properties and delivery, gas properties and delivery systems related to semiconductor manufacturing and any other subsystem relevant to the technical area Propose projects for reducing cost, improving tool availability and increasing tool and/or systems efficiency Perform routine tasks of limited scope; respond to and address tool downtime promptly, conduct thorough inspections, perform corrective maintenance according to specifications Follow specific, outlined and detailed procedures; perform preventative maintenance under supervision as needed Work with and around hazardous chemicals and gases; includes pouring chemicals, changing out gases or working in environments in which hazardous chemicals and/or gases are present and/or utilized Build knowledge of work stream and parts management systems; review Statistical Process Control (SPC) post maintenance work to build knowledge of SPC methodologies Build fundamental knowledge of test equipment and specialty tools required to perform daily tasks Systematically maintain and update process documentation through required real-time system entries of all work performed Comply with and follow all specified environmental, safety and health, cleanroom, chemical handling protocols and procedures and maintain all semiconductor factory certifications as required Report accidents and spills promptly; make recommendations to improve safe work practices Must be able to perform the essentials duties of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation
Qualifications:
Hands on equipment experience with PVD or CVD Ability to wear and required PPE and cleanroom garments including, but not limited to, full-body jumpsuit, safety glasses, nitrile gloves, face masks, hairnets, hoods and closed-toe cleanroom shoes Ability to read, comprehend and follow written procedures, both on paper and a computer monitor, and ability to respond to verbal directions accurately and efficiently Basic personal computer and keyboarding skills for the accurate input of data Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting ability Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, and calculating averages/percentages Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout a 12-hour shift Ability to ascend and descend stairs frequently Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 35 pounds Ability to see colors (yellow, orange, red, blue, purple, green, white) and flashing alarms Ability to hear and respond immediately to equipment alarms
Preferred Qualifications:
AMAT Endura (PVD), AMAT Producer (CVD), and AMAT Centura (various chambers)
Education Required:
High school diploma or
GED Preferred Education:
Working toward associate degree or formal training in maintenance/mechanical field For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce

COP (Continuous Opns.) The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $32 to $40. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
