Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an exciting opportunity for a Scientist / Engineer II to join our Biomanufacturing R D team in Bend, Oregon. In this role, you will work with a highly collaborative, cross-disciplinary group of scientists and engineers focused on advancing biologics manufacturing technologies that improve patient outcomes. What you will get An agile career path within a dynamic and innovative working culture An inclusive, ethical, and safety-driven workplace Opportunities to learn, grow, and develop across disciplines Compensation programs that recognize high performance Medical, dental, and vision insurance The chance to contribute to medicines that improve millions of lives What you will do Design and execute experiments in a mammalian bioreactor environment Analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate experimental data and results Apply scientific and engineering fundamentals in a hypothesis-driven setting Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including computational scientists Support technology development and transfer across the Lonza network Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and experimental records Contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality laboratory operations What we are looking for A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, bioengineering, biology, or biochemistry A solid foundation in scientific or engineering principles Experience working in a biology laboratory environment Interest or experience in mammalian cell culture is preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn beyond your specialization Motivation to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
