Position Overview:
The Project Engineer provides essential support to Project Managers by assisting with communication, scheduling, cost tracking, document control, and forecasting. This role collaborates with superintendents, forepersons, engineers, detailers, and management teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget. We lead with integrity, transparency, and accountability, put people first through collaboration and inclusivity, deliver client-focused value, and drive growth through innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with bid preparation and procurement of new projects.
Support estimating and negotiation of change orders with clarity and professionalism.
Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs to support accurate, transparent, and financially aligned projects.
Assist with purchasing major equipment and subcontract agreements, reinforcing UMC's commitment to quality and reliable delivery.
