Job Summary:

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Customer Engineer Req #H7862 in Hillsboro, OR, to: Perform startup through Tier II procedures and preventative maintenance and wet-cleans. Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed. Disassemble, cleans and rebuilds kits as part of kit management quality. Learn and apply diagnostic techniques and the use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers. Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems. Perform established BKM's. Follow all IP guidelines. Use good customer service skills while maintaining professional demeanor and displaying respect for the customer by maintaining an orderly work area. Compile with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value. Travel to clients' sites required (domestic).

Requirements:

Associate's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or an Engineering-related field and 4 years of experience as Customer Engineer or any occupation in which Customer Engineering experience was gained. Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following: 1) Computerized schematics, drawings and diagrams to troubleshoot and install equipment to tight specifications; 2) Clean room protocol experience; 3) Experience operating and maintaining high vacuum and high voltage systems; 4) System installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and ongoing service/maintenance; 5) Diagnose electronic and mechanical problems using schematics; 6) Experience with Customer Service in Semiconductor Industry.

Salary Range:
