Job Description

Bring your refrigeration expertise to an onsite production facility in Avondale, PA, where hands-on product development directly improves performance, safety, and real-world reliability. This Mechanical Engineer opportunity focuses on designing, testing, and optimizing specialized cooling systems built for residential wine cellars. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer position include: 2-7 years of hands-on refrigeration/HVAC product engineering experience with the ability to design and optimize refrigeration units for certification Product development experience required; installation/service-only HVAC backgrounds are not a fit Hands-on ownership of wine-cellar refrigeration design, prototype/production testing, and troubleshooting Ability to manage refrigerant charging and performance optimization Strong focus on safety compliance and certification requirements Experience supporting the transition to HFC-free refrigerants; experience with flammable refrigerants such as R290 or R600a is a strong plus Use SolidWorks or comparable design software to support design and development efforts Willingness to travel less than 5% (approximately one two-day trip every two months) to assist production and testing
