Mechanical Designer Job Description The Mechanical Designer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing mechanical solutions for projects and products. This position serves as a technical reference for the mechanical discipline, with responsibility for detailed engineering activities across the mechanical scope. The role encompasses the definition, study, and design of plant and equipment layouts, piping layouts, civil inputs, mechanical and piping supports, and mechanical equipment layout. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement mechanical solutions for projects and products. Act as a technical reference for the mechanical discipline. Conduct detailed engineering activities across the mechanical scope. Define, study, and design plant and equipment layouts. Design piping layouts, civil inputs, mechanical and piping supports. Develop layouts for mechanical equipment. Essential Skills Strong experience in mechanical design and engineering. Proficiency in CAD, including 2D and 3D design. Experience with industrial machinery. Expertise in new product development. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, or other similar software. Design and development experience with large-scale industrial equipment. Work Environment The work environment involves utilizing advanced mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Inventor to develop solutions for large-scale industrial equipment. The role requires a focus on innovation and new product development within a collaborative team setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Colmar, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
