Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Erie, PA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Pay:
$45.00/Hr W2
This role focuses on the design and development of lotive cabs and theirponents. The successful candidate will sound engineering principles, manage the design through technical reviews, and interface with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, drafting, and manufacturing teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
Design and development of Cabs and itsponents for lotive application using sound Engineering principles, adhering to business standards/processes and as per program requirements
Understand the system requirements flow down to sub-system, develop concepts and evaluate, identify risks and mitigation plans to address them
Take the design through technical reviews and document the technical data consistent with Engineering policies and quality procedures
Provide shop support for in-house manufacturing and address supplier/field issues
Interface with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization, including engineering sub-system teams, systems engineering, drafting, and manufacturing
Write drawing change requests and interface with the drafting team for layouts, detail design, drawings and change implementation
Review detailed drawingspleted by drafting
Provide timelymunications on significant issues or developments
Requirements:
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
3 to 6 years of working experience in Mechanical design/Light fabrication area
Exposure to engineering calculation such as material strength/Fatigue, bolted joint, welded joint etc
Ability to navigate UG/Teamcenter
Basic knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, GD&T, Tolerance stack up & AWS specifications
Goodmunication and Presentation skills
Desired skills:
Knowledge of FEA is an added advantage
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable Engineering tools and systems
Strong sense of responsibility and deadline, team player and can work under pressure
