We are recognized for our expertise as one of the top medical and closure toolmakers in the country. We maintain an exceptionally clean and safe work environment while driving excellence with every project. We are currently looking for a Tooling Engineer to join our talented team.
Main Function:
Manage the design and communication efforts of custom mold design and builds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
3D Injection Mold design and development. Generate 2D drawings and the mold book for manufacturing. Generation of Bill of Materials Provide support to new product designs to ensure moldability, cost-effectiveness, and the highest possible quality. Participate with manufacturing, scheduling, purchasing and QA in the identification and resolution of mold issues as needed. Lead mold design review and related meetings including concept reviews and final design reviews. Support quoting efforts as needed. Provide support to production during mold builds as needed. Communicate with the customer as it pertains to the design and build phases of a project.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years' experience in knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts related to the types of molds the company designs and builds. Must be 3D CAD proficient (preferably Solidworks). Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, interact well with others and be a positive team member. Must be action oriented, possess sound judgement, decision making capabilities, perseverance, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Journeyman Toolmaker or ASME Degree. Advanced Microsoft 365 skills.
