- Hookstown, PA System One is seeking a highly experienced Nuclear Engineer V
- Mechanical to support major commercial nuclear plant projects in Ohio. This role is ideal for a senior mechanical engineer with deep PWR/BWR plant knowledge, strong design modification experience, and a proven ability to improve plant safety, reliability, and performance. - $115/hr $178/day Per Diem Long-term nuclear plant assignment Work on critical plant upgrades, modifications, and reliability improvements High-impact role supporting safety-class nuclear systems Key Responsibilities Apply advanced mechanical engineering expertise in the design, operation, and modification of PWR and/or BWR nuclear plant systems, including both primary and secondary side equipment Perform engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations to resolve equipment reliability concerns and improve overall plant performance Develop, review, and implement system modifications/upgrades that enhance plant safety, reliability, and operational efficiency Use independent engineering judgment to prepare and defend modification packages during quality, safety, and design review boards Interface directly with project teams, plant stakeholders, and equipment vendors to assess conditions and drive practical engineering solutions Ensure all engineering activities remain compliant with NRC regulations, nuclear industry codes, and applicable standards Review and check calculations, drawings, engineering packages, and technical data prepared by other engineers Prepare technical presentations, communicate findings clearly to clients, and participate in client review meetings Conduct plant walkdowns and field inspections in industrial environments, including ladders, confined spaces, and security-controlled areas Required Qualifications B.

Mobilization and Demobilization Guidelines:
- Mobilization and Demobilization is reimbursement-based with supporting documentation Per Diem
- $1,246/week per diem ($178/day)
Per Diem Guidelines:
Per diem for eligible employees will be paid 7 days at $178 per day, subject to the following rules:- Must have a permanent address more than 50 miles from jobsite
- Must maintain duplicate living expenses
- The employee works all of their scheduled workdays.
- Per diem is paid for scheduled workdays when an eligible employee works at least 2 hours of that workday.
- If the employee does not work all of their scheduled workdays, then per diem is paid only for days worked.
- Weekend per diem is paid if the employee works any of the preceding shifts up to the weekend, subject to the foregoing. (In this case it was Friday through Sunday)
- Per diem is not paid on holidays or if the jobsite is shut down for the entire week. TRAVEL
- $600 monthly travel stipend for trips home
Travel Guidelines:
- Travel Expenses will be reimbursed with manager approval and proper receipts.
