Description Certu Systems, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA) to be responsible for designing and implementing Mixed Integer Linear Programming ("MILP") formulations for logistics network control using ORTOOLS, CVXPY, PuLP, and GUROBIpy; designing and implementing an optimization algorithm to dynamically allocate resources to high-priority deliveries; designing and implementing warm-start and heuristic algorithms tailored to problem formulation; designing and implementing a Dynamic Programming method to solve large-scale MILPs via the exploitation of spatial-temporal dynamics; designing, testing, and implementing end-to-end software for resource scheduling and queuing; designing and implementing simulation software capable of assisting in fine-tuning optimization and routing algorithms; designing and implementing a multi-sequence prediction algorithm for modeling network dynamics, including predictions with statistical models by clustering and decomposition of sequences and a Deep Learning-based attention mechanism for modeling long-term dependences; assisting in the design of extended vehicle routing algorithms to accommodate customer-specific business constraints; and assisting in the design and testing of multi-dimensional constrained bin-packing software. Must hold a Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a directly related field. Must know (through academic training or work experience) machine learning techniques, such as unsupervised anomaly detection and spatio-temporal forecasting; developing of forecasting algorithm; integrating predictive algorithms with network optimization algorithms; predictive modeling, deep learning and time series prediction; developing automated tools to reduce operational costs; and software platform development leveraging large scale data to optimize logistics operations.
