Description TITAN's client partner has an immediate opening for a direct/permanent hire role in their Pittsburgh, PA area location. There is flexibility with the work schedule. The position could be working in their office five days/wk or possibly working from home 1-2 days/wk or possibly a 9/80 work schedule. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree a plus
8-15 years work experience dealing with the manufacture and design of engineered products
5+ years of experience with rotating equipment and machine designs (motors, pumps, generators and propulsors)
ANSYS Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, GD&T, CAD systems, CAE systems experience
Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to details in a fast-paced environment
Ability to create models and drawings and perform trade studies and design reviews
Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities
Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite
Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
Provides engineering design and analysis to assess new and existing equipment to optimize efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness
Designs and conducts experiments, collects data, and interprets results, conducts analysis, and writes analysis and test reports
Capable of drawing conclusions and reconciling differences between predicted values and actual results
Plans and coordinates the design and analysis of complex engineering solutions including documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical or other presentations to ensure visibility of the solutions in an evolving environment
Designs new equipment and machinery as conceived to support program and project needs. Assists in building, installing, debugging, and testing new equipment to ensure production capabilities
Determines technical objectives and develops innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems
Provides technical support to failure investigations and bid responses
Leads technical efforts for design review activities
Leads technical teams in design and analytical activities for product design and development and production
