Mechanical Designer / Design Engineer NO Visa Sponsorship Now or in the Future We are seeking a Mechanical Designer / Design Engineer to join our growing manufacturing and engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on mechanical design professional who enjoys turning concepts into practical, manufacturable equipment. Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 3D mechanical models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation using Autodesk Inventor or comparable 3D CAD software.
  • Design and develop industrial equipment, mechanical systems, support structures, and custom-engineered products for manufacturing and industrial applications.
  • Produce accurate drawing packages, including detail drawings, assembly drawings, weldment drawings, structural layouts, and fabrication documentation.
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), part lists, drawing revisions, and project documentation.
  • Apply sound mechanical engineering and design principles to ensure equipment meets applicable safety, quality, performance, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, fabrication, production, sales, engineering, and field service teams to support projects and resolve technical issues.
  • Review existing equipment and designs and recommend improvements to manufacturability, reliability, performance, and cost.
  • Support design-for-manufacturing (DFM) initiatives and ensure designs can be efficiently fabricated, assembled, installed, and serviced.
  • Assist with product development, custom engineering projects, product improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and design clarification to fabrication and assembly teams as needed.
  • Review drawings and designs for accuracy, completeness, fit, function, and manufacturability.
  • Incorporate feedback from manufacturing and field personnel into future design improvements. Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Drafting & Design, Mechanical Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline required; a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is a plus.
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial equipment environment.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Experience creating 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, weldment drawings, and BOMs.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, steel fabrication, structural layouts, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply engineering specifications, manufacturing requirements, and technical drawings.
  • Understanding of tolerances, materials, fasteners, weldments, and general mechanical construction is preferred.
