Job Description
Imagine starting your engineering career on a site where nuclear innovation meets real-world impact. As a Junior Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Systems in Madison, PA (southeast of Pittsburgh near New Stanton), you will join a team that enables safe, clean energy around the globe. What your first year could look like You'll rotate through project work that exposes you to the full lifecycle of nuclear power plants—from conceptual design, through construction and operation, and into decommissioning. One week you may be supporting a design change to improve plant reliability; the next, you're collaborating with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot a critical operational issue for a customer. Along the way, you'll build relationships with Westinghouse clients and experts in both U.S. and international markets. How you'll contribute Develop hands-on understanding of design, construction, operations, and decommissioning activities for nuclear facilities. Grow deep technical knowledge serving U.S. and global nuclear markets. Partner in multi-disciplinary teams to resolve high-priority challenges affecting plant construction and operations. Strengthen trusted, long-term relationships with Westinghouse customers. What you'll bring BS in Mechanical Engineering (required).
