We are hiring a Mechanical Quality Control (QC) Engineer to join our team and ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance. In this role, you will bridge the gap between mechanical design and rigorous quality standards. You will design testing protocols, oversee product inspections, and optimize manufacturing processes to minimize defects.
Job Responsibilities Quality Management :
Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliant with standard frameworks like
ISO 9001.
Testing & Inspection :
Develop mechanical validation plans, oversee lab testing, and perform manual inspections using tools like calipers and micrometers.
Defect Analysis :
Use root cause analysis and statistical tools to investigate mechanical failures and execute corrective actions.
Drawing Review :
Evaluate blueprints and technical documentation, ensuring precise compliance with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Vendor Audits :
Audit suppliers and evaluate incoming materials to ensure continuous high quality from third-party vendors.
Requirements & Qualifications Education :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
Experience :
3+ years of direct experience working in mechanical design, manufacturing, or QC engineering roles.
Technical Skills :
High proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), MATLAB, and statistical control software (e.g., Minitab).
Methodologies :
Strong foundational knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Certifications :
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is highly preferred. In this role, you will drive mechanical product development projects from concept through manufacturing, ensuring designs meet rigorous industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to designing complex mechanical systems, optimizing manufacturing processes, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, including mechanical drawings and schematics. Perform tolerance analysis and mechanical drafting to ensure precision and manufacturability of components. Conduct mechanical modeling and 3D simulations for product validation using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools. Lead mechanical product development projects, managing schedules and resources effectively through project management best practices. Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures or issues during testing or manufacturing phases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and quality assurance to integrate design engineering solutions. Ensure all designs comply with ASME codes & standards and adhere to industry best practices in machine design and mechanical detail drawings. Skills Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and drafting tools for mechanical design. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), tolerance analysis, and schematic development. Experience with 3D modeling for product design and building information modeling (BIM) tools is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC machining, assembly, and testing procedures. Ability to perform root cause analysis using tools like MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar platforms. Practical experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a high-tech environment. Knowledge of mechanical product development projects from initial concept through production release. Skills in project scheduling, project management, and cross-functional communication to ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions. Understanding of mechanical codes & standards such as ASME; experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis), Schematics, Mechanical drawings, and Mechanical detail drawings is highly desirable.
