In-Person $70000.00 - $80000.00 per Year 2 Years Experience Post-secondary academic degree, Associate degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Role and Responsibilities The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and developing detailed designs for products and systems, ensuring they meet specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. This individual will be responsible for the design, manufacturing assembly, and installation of environmental systems. This role involves collaborating with other engineers and departments to turn concepts into reality and improve existing designs for efficiency and performance. The successful applicant will also design burn-in test fixtures and requisite injection mold tooling. Create detailed technical drawings, models, and prototypes for new products or systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor). Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical and budgetary requirements. Perform feasibility studies, simulations, and stress tests to assess the performance and safety of designs. Prepare and maintain accurate records of design specifications, modifications, and approvals. Participate in product testing, troubleshooting, and analysis to refine designs and address any issues. Play an interictal part in building burn-in and test environmental systems. Identify opportunities for design improvements to enhance product performance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability. Ensure that designs comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Assist in project planning and provide design-related input to ensure timely project completion. Assist with other duties as assigned in the Engineering Department. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. Comply with all company policies. Maintain a hostile free work environment. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Proven experience (5+ years_ in design engineering, preferably in the semiconductor burn-in and/or injection molding industries. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes and material selection. Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Attention to detail and strong organization skills. Ability to read blueprints. Legally able to work in the United States Pass a criminal background check. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Experience with simulation and analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, FEA). Familiarity with manufacturing Experience with Microsoft Office products. Analytical skills. Excellent communication skills. Positive attitude. Self-motivated. Additional Notes This position requires a self-motivated person who is a highly skilled engineer capable of working independently in a quiet office environment, with occasional work on the manufacturing floor to evaluate prototypes and production processes.
