Job Description:
Facilitate and provide expertise in the development of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, and Qualification Plans, in new product development and product changes. Perform statistical analysis for the qualification, control, and continuous improvement of processes, products, and equipment for electromechanical components and systems. Develop Quality System for new products and product changes including the development of inspection methods, inspection equipment, and inspection frequency. Complete customer-required documentation relating to customer acceptance of new products and product changes. Reviews and approves supplier documentation on new and revised purchased components. Provide technical support, documentation, and guidance on new products to New Product Introduction Assembly Department, inspection lab and manufacturing plants. Lead development team in finding root cause and developing corrective action for New Product QNs and support efforts for systemic improvements of AQP Processes to reduce New Products QNs.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering for electrical or mechanical components and systems. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Electronic assembly, testing, molding, stamping, plating, and assembly processes; Completing statistical analysis using Minitab; and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA). Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: Metrology and GD&T; and Quality System (ISO 9001 or
TS 16949
) and Supplier Auditing. Must also possess training in Green or Black Belt certification for 6sigma. Up to 10% domestic and 5% international travel required.
