Remote Overview System One is seeking a Computational Thermal Hydraulics Analyst for a remote contract. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in nuclear thermal-hydraulic analysis and computational methods to support advanced reactor core methodology development, benchmarking/validation, and design evaluation work. This contract engagement is expected to be full-time (40 hours/week) and remote , with collaboration across multi-disciplinary engineering teams as project timelines ramp up. Responsibilities Conduct computational analysis of in-core steady-state thermal hydraulic phenomena. Perform code benchmarking and validation analyses to support code qualification and methodology development. Perform calculations using first principles of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics to support and validate analysis results. Integrate with other engineering groups performing aspects of component, system, fuel, and control system analysis and related thermal-hydraulic testing. Support the development of testing programs needed for reactor core and components. Requirements B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or other relevant technical Engineering area from an accredited university. Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal hydraulic analysis with a B.S. degree, or 6+ years with an M.S., or 3+ years with a Ph.D., demonstrating ability to produce high-quality work. 6+ years' experience in Nuclear Systems Thermal-Hydraulic behavior and analyses; experience in 1D modeling highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise with CAD modeling tools; SolidWorks preferred. Proficiency with a modern CFD tool; STAR-CCM+ knowledge preferred. Experience in analysis of nuclear reactor core subchannel analysis. Ability to participate effectively in a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Experience with low Prandtl number heat transfer analysis is a strong plus. Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance programs is a strong plus. Creative thinker with strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Excellent writing and communication skills. High degree of trustworthiness and integrity; strong team-oriented mindset.
