Overview:

A well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team in the Northern Virginia region. This role focuses on the design of HVAC and building systems across a diverse portfolio of projects, offering strong technical exposure and opportunities for career growth within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping layouts Develop construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD Perform energy calculations and assist with system analysis (TRACE, HAP, or similar) Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and structural teams Participate in client meetings and assist with project coordination Conduct site visits and support construction administration efforts Ensure designs meet applicable codes and industry standards

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 3-10+ years of experience in MEP consulting or building systems design Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Experience with HVAC load calculation software (TRACE, HAP, or similar) EIT required; PE or on track preferred Strong communication and organizational skills
