Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer Job Description As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting various components including spacecraft, structures, MGSE, actuators, and mechanisms. Your work will involve parts design and conducting analyses to meet internal hardware performance, life, and environmental requirements. You will also be involved in modeling and creating design documentation of mechanical systems using CAD software. Additionally, you will support assembly and testing processes, including performance, shock, vibration, and space environment evaluations. Responsibilities + Design and draft spacecraft components, structures, MGSE, actuators, and mechanisms. + Conduct parts design and analyses to satisfy hardware performance, life, and environmental requirements. + Create modeling and design documentation using CAD. + Support assembly and testing, including performance, shock, vibration, and space environments. Essential Skills + 3+ years expierence in mechanical engineer for aerospace. + Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software. + Expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Experience in mechanism design. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the aerospace industry. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.11/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
