What You'll Do Lead the mechanical design and development of custom automation and conveyor systems. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution. Develop system-level designs, equipment interfaces, and approval drawing packages. Create detailed engineering documentation including assembly, fabrication, weldment, installation, and modification drawings. Research and specify mechanical components including motors, gearboxes, bearings, structural materials, and related equipment. Review and release engineering documentation through ERP systems to support manufacturing operations. Provide technical support to fabrication and assembly teams during machine builds and troubleshooting activities. Travel to customer sites as needed to gather project requirements and support project implementation. Work directly with customers to troubleshoot equipment and provide technical support. Mentor and develop junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices and design consistency. Participate in continuous improvement and product innovation initiatives. Strong 2D CAD design and drafting experience. Excellent mechanical design and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes. Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing automation equipment, conveyor systems, material handling systems, or custom machinery. Experience working within ERP systems.
