Job Description

Mechanical Engineering Analyst Celtic Engineering, Inc., a leader in mechanical and specialty engineering for the entertainment, industrial, and aerospace sectors, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Analyst for our Windermere, FL office. The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with strong analytical skills and experience leading technical scopes. A Florida PE license is preferred; strong candidates without a PE will be considered, especially if eligible for licensure within 12-18 months of hire. As an experienced engineering analyst, you will lead technically complex scopes with minimal oversight—executing detailed analyses, reviewing work from junior engineers, and contributing to design decisions. You may also support project management tasks and will have the opportunity to advance as a technical expert or into a project management path.
What You'll Do:
Own the analysis and evaluation of mechanical components and systems, from scoping through delivery Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to develop and execute effective engineering plans Perform hand calculations and detailed modeling to evaluate loads, motion, kinematics, and stress/deformation Assess static and fatigue strength using multiple analytical approaches, including welds and bolted connections Determine appropriate sizing and specifications for mechanical components such as bearings, cylinders, and motors (including servos) Contribute to early-stage creative design by evaluating options, guiding mechanism layout, and specifying actuation systems Mentor and review the work of less experienced engineers Apply engineering creativity to develop thoughtful, efficient solutions that meet both technical requirements and client vision. Champion quality work with rigorous checking and oversight of other analysts.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (required). Graduate degree strongly preferred Minimum 8 years of current, full-time experience in mechanism and mechanical systems analysis Proficiency with high-fidelity FEA tools (Ansys preferred) Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, mechanics, and analytical methods Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills PE license in Florida preferred (or ability to obtain within 12-18 months) Familiarity with manufacturing, fabrication, and machine assembly practices
