Job Description

AED is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Lead to oversee the mechanical design, fabrication, and integration of equipment in high-precision industrial facilities. This hands-on engineering role involves managing mechanical supports, utilities interfaces, tool anchoring, vibration isolation, and HVAC/thermal systems to ensure optimal tool performance. The ideal candidate has experience with chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor production equipment and can lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design, fabrication, and integration of equipment supports, utilities interfaces, tool anchoring, vibration isolation, and HVAC/thermal systems impacting tool performance. Develop and maintain mechanical BOMs, drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and change control documentation. Oversee vendor selection, technical evaluation, installation oversight, and acceptance testing; manage vendor performance and resolve escalations. Collaborate with process engineers, equipment teams, facilities, procurement, quality, and production to support product launches, ramp-ups, and continuous improvement projects. Create and maintain engineering procedures, SOPs, risk assessments, and technical reports; support audits and regulatory inspections. Apply expertise with semiconductor production equipment (CVD, PVD, etch, CMP, lithography, metrology tools) or analogous high-precision tools.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's or PE license desirable). Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial mechanical design. Experience designing for chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor industrial facilities. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising engineers and technical teams. Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders.Salary:
