Engineering & Inspection Description:
Provides subject matter expertise regarding small commercial to industrial-size equipment across a broad range of manufacturing and operational environments including but not limited to boilers, HVAC, automation, robotics. Uses equipment knowledge to drive solutions and improvements in underwriting, claims and new products business units. Identifies new and emerging equipment technology and sensor technology trends and incorporates those technologies into the business for increased efficiency and/or new process implementation. Education and Experience + Bachelor of Science in Engineering + Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline a plus + 5 years of experience working in Engineering or Technology + Registration as a Professional Engineer a plus + Experience with integration of IoT technologies a plus + Experience or knowledge of the insurance industry a plus Knowledge and Skills + Strong problem solving and analytical skills + General insurance industry knowledge + Communication skills + Time management skills At The Hartford Steam Boiler, a subsidiary of Munich Re, we see Diversity and Inclusion as a solution to the challenges and opportunities all around us.
