On-site The Impact You'll Make At Danfoss, you'll help shape the quality and reliability of innovative, oil-free centrifugal technologies powering critical industries like data centers and heat pumps. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences product performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term business success. As a Senior Quality Engineer - Design for Quality (DfQ), you will embed quality into every stage of product development—from concept to release. You'll connect real-world performance insights with engineering decisions, ensuring products not only meet expectations but exceed them. This is an opportunity to lead meaningful change by strengthening how teams solve problems, learn from failures, and build better products together. We'd love to have you onsite in Tallahassee, Florida, but we also understand flexibility matters—so for the right candidate, remote work can be considered. What You'll Be Doing Build a closed-loop quality system that turns field issues, customer feedback, and failures into stronger product requirements, design improvements, and release decisions Lead and elevate 8D problem-solving practices, driving root cause validation, robust corrective actions, and continuous improvement across teams Partner with engineering teams to ensure quality and reliability are designed in, identifying risks early and strengthening validation strategies Guide product release readiness, ensuring decisions are supported by clear risk assessments, completed testing, and actionable mitigation plans Translate voice of customer (VOC), warranty data, and field performance into insights that improve design standards and future product outcomes What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in quality, reliability, or product engineering, including Design for Quality (DfQ), DFMEA, and validation planning Proven expertise in 8D problem solving, root cause analysis, and working with field/warranty data (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Power BI). Six Sigma Black Belt certification Preferred. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without direct authority Strong understanding of product development and design processes, with a focus on preventing quality issues early.
