Support build events, Production Part Approval (PSW) readiness, and launch milestones by ensuring tooling is prepared and capable. Track and support resolution of Yellow Items and other identified tooling risks throughout the program lifecycle. Coordinate closely with engineering, manufacturing, program managers, and tool shops to ensure tooling readiness for each launch phase. Document tooling issues, communicate status, and support corrective action implementation and validation. Provide technical input during program reviews and respond effectively in potential high-pressure situations related to tooling and launch readiness. Essential Skills Strong background in stamping tooling construction, tryout, and die development. Hands-on experience working with automotive tool shops and production stamping processes. Solid understanding of die build, tryout, and production readiness requirements for high-volume manufacturing. Proven ability to identify tooling risks and actively support resolution activities from issue detection through closure. Experience working within structured tooling and launch processes (such as STS or similar frameworks). Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze tooling issues and recommend effective solutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to cross-functional teams. Understanding of part quality requirements and dimensional validation processes, including methods used to confirm tooling and part conformance. Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives or lean manufacturing principles within a production or launch environment. Interest in or experience with performance and racing-oriented vehicle programs is beneficial. Ability to perform effectively in potential or occasional high-pressure situations with high visibility from senior leadership.
