  • Coventry, RI Plastics Engineer Process Engineer Manufacturing Engineer Plastic Molding Injection Mold Blow Extrusion Tooling Designer Moldmaking Lean Applications Thermoplastics Thermoset Seeking motivated and knowledgeable Tooling Project Manager with previous experience in plastic injection molding projects for contract manufacturers of medical components, automotive parts or aerospace components.
  • Meet with customers to determine plastic injection molded product requirements, ensures that customer needs are met.
  • Coordinate, direct and lead engineering efforts to ensure optimum engineering of projects to meet customer and manufacturing requirements
  • Act as the primary point of contact between customer, sales, engineering functions, outside vendors, and manufacturing groups.
  • Create and monitor project timelines and develop cost estimates and project options.
  • Support tool maintenance and rebuild activities.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years relevant experience, must have strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and equipment or tooling needs. Knowledge of insert molding and two-shot molding is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous Project or Program Management experience in a contract manufacturer of plastic molded components.
  • Technical knowledge of tolerances for plastic molding operations and experience in mold design for custom product orders.
