Technology, Software, IT, Electronics Description Description SAIC is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer in Middletown, RI to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians. You'll help bring mechanical designs from concept through fabrication and testing, working under the direction of senior engineers.
Job Duties :
Support the design of automated test hardware for land-based testing of naval systems and underwater applications. Create CAD parts and assemblies and contribute to technical data packages. Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to keep assemblies and deliverables on schedule. Assist with prototype assembly, integration, and testing of hardware. Participate in customer and team meetings and report task status. Manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications Qualifications :
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of experience. Experience with design, modeling, and drawing development in SolidWorks or a similar parametric modeling tool. Must be a US citizen, able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Desired :
Experience with designing or modeling fluid flow systems. Familiarity with GD&T and technical data package drawings. Exposure to data acquisition, instrumentation, or test hardware. Project management experience.
