This position will typically work closely with Project Managers, Field Supervision, and Craft on the jobsite to ensure successful project completion. Primary Responsibilities Support overall construction activities by planning, organizing, and implementing the project controls system, subcontracts, and the management, purchasing, and scheduling of materials. Assist project management with a variety of items such as: expediting material deliveries, monitoring project production, providing project status reports, preparing monthly billings, tracking equipment utilization, providing survey layout, and preparing shop drawings/submittals. Ensure project safety and quality protocols are being followed per company and industry standards; personally setting a good example for worksite safety expectations. Support the pursuit and estimating process from searching out potential projects to estimating, planning, and completing take off quantities for active proposals. Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience. Experience in the marine and heavy civil construction industry. Knowledge of project management and administration, procurement, estimating, scheduling, project tracking software, cost control, engineering and project standards, and safety and environmental compliance, preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors. GPS survey experience and capable of performing construction layout. Must be qualified and physically able to drive. Ability to travel and work for extended period of time on projects outside of office area.
