Type:
full-time About the Role We are seeking a Machining & Materials R D Engineer to drive the development, optimization, and qualification of advanced machining processes for aerospace materials and components. This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of:
- Materials Science
- Manufacturing R D
- Precision Machining The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of machining from a machine-shop environment, combined with a deep technical interest in how metals behave during cutting, forming, and processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate interactions between material properties, tooling, cutting parameters, machine dynamics, coolant strategies, and process conditions.
- Develop better, more capable, and more repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Formulate experiments, analyze results, and solve complex machining and material problems.
- Translate R D findings into robust manufacturing processes for aerospace applications.
Note:
While this role is grounded in aerospace machining and tooling, the emphasis is on materials and process R D rather than day-to-day production engineering.
