#INDHB Position's Contributions to
Work Group:
  • Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction Reason/motivation for request:

Typical task breakdown:
  • RFQ tooling, Design New Pattern Tooling, resolve casting issues, Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.
Interaction with team:
  • Interact with managers on directions and priorities of workflow.
  • Interact with Tool designers and Engineers for tool build, process flow.
  • Interact with Pattern Makers for tool build direction. Team Structure
  • Managers, Foundry Tool Designer, Manufacturing Engineer, Programmer, Pattern Makers, Pattern Technicians.
Work environment:
  • Foundry production setting. Cold in winter, Hot in Summer
  • Common office computer desk setting
  • Shop floor environment.
Education & Experience Required:
  • Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experiences
  • Degree requirement: Associate or Bachelor.
  • Do you accept internships as job experience: No Top 3
Skills:
  • Foundry Engineer Experience. (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
  • Foundry tooling Design Experience. (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
  • Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast Additional Technical Skills (Required)
  • Strong CAD skills (Creo prefers).
  • Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
  • Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast prefers) (Desired)
  • CNC milling knowledge Soft Skills (Required)
  • Able to work with and direct suppliers on Tooling Build Projects
  • Communicate and work well with all levels of the facility.

  • No Foundry experiences
  • No Tool design experiences with
