Description
- Develops cost-effective test solutions that satisfy performance, quality, and validation requirements.
- Engineers and builds custom testing equipment, fixtures, automation systems, instrumentation connections, and related support hardware.
- Leads technical efforts involving the design, acquisition, installation, validation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment and systems used for data collection and product testing.
- Defines testing parameters, procedures, and execution plans, including sequencing and operational phases.
- Oversees all stages of testing activities, ensuring proper functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements.
- Creates and utilizes software applications and integrated hardware platforms to evaluate electrical products, assemblies, and systems.
- Designs and constructs prototype hardware and test fixtures to support product development, manufacturing, and field evaluations.
- Reviews, interprets, and communicates test results through detailed technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Partners with engineering, manufacturing, scientific, and technical teams to troubleshoot product issues, investigate anomalies, and resolve data-related concerns.
- Verifies that testing applications and automated systems operate according to documented specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Authors Statements of Work (SOWs), engineering specifications, requirements documents, and validation plans.
- Evaluates product designs from a testability perspective and recommends improvements that enhance coverage, reliability, manufacturability, and overall cost efficiency.
- Produces engineering documentation including CAD drawings, electrical diagrams, and printed circuit board layouts when needed for test-system implementation.
- Works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify design enhancements that improve product quality and production readiness.
- Provides technical guidance and testing support to engineering teams, technicians, manufacturing personnel, and other internal partners.
- Performs verification and validation activities while documenting outcomes in accordance with customer expectations and quality standards.
- Prepares testing proposals, project estimates, quotations, development schedules, and production-cycle projections.
- Maintains compliance with ISO quality standards and adheres to established documentation, process, and quality-management procedures.
